METHODS OF STUDY

You will usually have one teacher for each of these modules. The aim being to give you three English teachers, so that you are able to encounter a range of teaching methods and styles. This arrangement also allows your teachers to specialise in a particular area and thus offer the best possible tuition.

The teaching strategies include:

  • Discussion (whole group, small group and pairs)
  • Brainstorming
  • Annotation of handouts
  • Videos and audio tapes
  • Presentations
  • Written activities

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Ideally we would prefer students to have achieved at least a grade B in the subject at GCSE.
