From the 8th to the 12th July, a group of sixth formers, year 11s and staff visited Euro Disney resort near Paris. For two days we sampled the delights of the two Disney parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney studios, which included as many turns on the ‘big’ rides as our constitutions could stand, and as many rides on the cutesy rides as our inner children would allow. The epitome of these rides was the newly built Tower of Terror (which several of us rode a few times, fearlessly…) About a minute after setting foot in Disneyland most of us were running around more hyped up than half of the little kids, and with good reason: it’s simply impossible to act your age when surrounded by so much cheer!

Our trip culminated in a bus trip around the city of Paris, in which we saw all the sights. Personally I was more excited about the flagship Chanel store than anything else, but the Gothic splendour of Notre Dame, the imposing stature of the Eiffel Tower and the leafy boulevards of the city sent everyone’s cameras into overdrive.

The trip was altogether amazing, and couldn’t have happened without Miss Burgess, who organised the whole thing, and Catherine Benbow, Steve Marshall and Laura Jankowska, who accompanied us. Thanks to everyone who went for an amazing time!
